Brook + Christian’s 2 Day Adventure Elopement in Moab, Utah
When I first got on the phone with these two, I tried so hard to keep it cool but WOW was I excited to have the opportunity to work with them! Christian + Brook had known each other for years, and they were finally tying the knot. They had traveled all around the world together. From Thailand to China, all over Europe, and now finally back to their home state, Utah. Their dream for their wedding day? Something simple, fun, and unique. When brainstorming of what they wanted their day to look like, they decided they wanted to have a helicopter elopement! Christian was working on his pilot license, and the whole aviation world was near and dear to his heart, so they for sure had to incorporate a private plane ride into their wedding celebrations!
These two had a clear vision of what they wanted their elopement days to look like. Day 1 was their “day before adventure session” where I met them at a private property, and we took some pictures with the private plane they were about to fly in, and got pictures on the property during sunset, and popped some champagne to celebrate their marriage (wait til you see these pics!). We went on our separate ways, and then the next morning we met up for sunrise for their private Moab elopement ceremony. It was truly the best of both worlds. I’m so grateful for all the vendors that made this happen. From the Airbnb private property, to the pilot Alvin, to the florist of Farm Yard Moab. Thanks so much for helping bring Brook + Christian’s helicopter elopement dreams to life!

Hey, i’m Kelly! (that’s me >>>) I’m an adventure wedding and elopement photographer based out of Grand Junction, Colorado. Not sure where Grand Junction is? Well, i’m an hour and a half from Moab, an hour and a half from Telluride, and only two hours from Breckenridge. It’s the perfect, dare I say Grand Junction (see what I did there? 😉 ).
I usually am pretty involved with my couples and their planning for their big day. I suggest vendors you can work with, will create a timeline for your big day, nail down permits, help you get your Utah marriage license, and just make sure you have the best damn day.
Why? Because when your elopement day, location, and timing are planned just right, your pictures will turn out incredible.
