Renee + Andrew’s Telluride Hiking Elopement
Nestled in the solitude of Telluride’s mountains, Renee and Andrew crafted an unforgettable elopement day, where panoramic mountain views painted the canvas of their incredible celebration.
Renee and Andrew’s elopement day wasn’t your run-of-the-mill “I do.” It was an unforgettable adventure set against the breathtaking backdrop of Bridal Veil Falls, and a mountain pass in Telluride. Picture us exploring the half-frozen waterfall, awestruck by its sheer size—a warm-up to the grandness that awaited.
Now, these two are more than just a couple; they’re bona fide Lord of the Rings enthusiasts. Their vows, handwritten with love, and the subtle gold details that adorned Renee’s attire added a touch of fantasy magic to the day, Gandalf would’ve been proud.
We tackled a 2-mile hike up the mountain pass, conquering a 1,700 ft elevation gain to reach their chosen ceremony spot. The view? Panoramic perfection. And who stole the show? Their three furry companions, Togo, Brees, and Gimli, all decked out in floral finery, joined the matrimonial crew, and, believe it or not, even signed the marriage license. Paws and vows—sealed with a wag. Learn more about eloping with your dogs here.
Post-ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed a laid-back picnic and a touch of bubbly—because what’s an elopement without a champagne toast? As the sun dipped low, casting a warm glow on the town of Telluride below, we gracefully descended the mountain pass, taking in the awe-inspiring views that made the heart skip a beat.
Sure, the hike up tested our calves, but as the day wrapped up, the happiness radiating from Renee and Andrew spoke volumes. This wasn’t just an elopement; it was a beautiful celebration of love, laughter, and the kind of memories that become the stuff of legends.
I love what I do….
and so do they
“Honestly I don’t even know where to begin, or how to convey how wonderful Kelly’s planning and photography is. We booked an elopement from out of state (Arkansas) with no idea of what to expect, but I’m so happy we decided to book with Kelly! (This was my first time in Colorado.) We received detailed information on how to plan and make decisions regarding our Telluride hiking elopement, as well as the most breathtaking photos I’ve ever seen. Before choosing a location we did the provided questionnaire, which was actually a super fun/romantic date night for us. Kelly helped us choose an amazingly fun and gorgeous location, and helped us navigate a dog friendly elopement. She was insanely good at posing/suggestions, as well as photographing the natural moments and making a comfortable environment. This will be everything you want and more for your elopement.” – Renee
